His casting marks a new interpretation of Robert Langdon following Tom Hanksâ portrayal of the character in the previous movie adaptations.
Rebecca Hall as Katherine Solomon

- Science
- Philosophy

- Conspiracies
- International locations
- Human consciousness
- A race against time
For readers who want to explore the original story, the official Dan Brown page for The Secret of Secrets provides more information about the novel.
Who Is Katherine Solomon?
Katherine Solomon is one of the most important characters in The Secret of Secrets.
She is a prominent scientist whose research focuses on the human mind and consciousness.
Her groundbreaking work becomes central to the mystery after she disappears together with her manuscript.
Katherine also has a personal relationship with Robert Langdon, giving the Netflix series an opportunity to explore a side of Langdon that previous adaptations have not focused on as heavily.
The Secret of Secrets First Look
Netflix has released the first official behind-the-scenes image from the production.
The image features Morgan Spector as Robert Langdon alongside Rebecca Hall as Katherine Solomon.
It provides the first official glimpse at the new adaptation and confirms that production is moving forward in Prague.
Netflixâs official announcement also confirms that the series is set in the world of Dan Brownâs The Secret of Secrets.
Where Is The Secret of Secrets Being Filmed?
Production has officially begun in Prague, Czech Republic.
The location is particularly important because Prague is also a major setting in Dan Brownâs original novel.
The book takes readers through several locations connected to the cityâs history, architecture, mysteries, and symbolism.
The series is therefore expected to use Prague as more than simply a filming location.
According to Dan Brownâs official material, the story also takes Langdon beyond Prague, with the novel involving locations including London and New York.
Who Is Behind The Secret of Secrets?
The series is being developed by Dan Brown and Carlton Cuse.
Carlton Cuse serves as showrunner and writer, while Dan Brown is involved as an executive producer.
Cuse is known for his work on major television projects including Lost, Bates Motel, and Locke & Key.
The combination of Brownâs original story and Cuseâs television experience makes the adaptation one of Netflixâs more notable upcoming mystery projects.
How Many Episodes Will The Secret of Secrets Have?
Netflix has described the project as an eight-hour series.
The longer television format gives the creative team more time to develop the mystery, characters, and ideas from Dan Brownâs novel.
It can also allow the series to expand on Langdonâs investigation instead of compressing the story into a traditional feature-length movie.
Is The Secret of Secrets Based on a Book?
Yes.
The Netflix project is based on Dan Brownâs 2025 novel The Secret of Secrets.
The book is the sixth installment in the Robert Langdon series.
The novels in the series are:
- Angels & Demons
- The Da Vinci Code
- The Lost Symbol
- Inferno
- Origin
- The Secret of Secrets
The official Robert Langdon series page on Dan Brownâs website lists The Secret of Secrets as the latest novel in the series.
The Secret of Secrets vs. The Previous Robert Langdon Movies
Robert Langdon has previously been portrayed by Tom Hanks in three major film adaptations:
- The Da Vinci Code
- Angels & Demons
- Inferno
The Netflix project takes a different approach by bringing the character to television.
Instead of adapting the story as a single movie, the series format gives Netflix more room to develop Langdonâs investigation, the supporting characters, and the mystery surrounding Katherine Solomon.
It also introduces Morgan Spector as a new screen version of the famous Harvard symbologist.
